PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. -- Pulaski County Special School District Academies of Arkansas Ambassadors recently attended a poverty simulation led by the University of Central Arkansas
The ambassadors participated in a session to discuss the harsh realities of poverty through an interactive experience. They discussed living with a shortage of money and the stress that it causes individuals and communities. Students then participated in a roundtable discussion with business and industry volunteers from a wide-range of industries.
Thank you to the Maumelle Chamber of Commerce for organizing the event, the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce for providing the space, Baldwin & Shell for providing lunch, Central Arkansas Water for providing water, and the business and industry volunteers who served during the simulation and roundtables.
