SHERWOOD, Ark. (SHHS) -- In January 2020, the life skills classes at Sylvan Hills High School started a "Transition Tuesday" program. The 11th and 12th grade students have the opportunity to explore post-secondary options. Some of the visits so far include partnerships with UA-Little Rock and UAMS.
Students visited Academics, Community, Career Development and Employment (ACCE) program at UA-Little Rock which offers a year of on-campus training for long-term job placement. Another visit was with UAMS-Project Search which also offers job skills training.
Every job training event wraps up with a little fun - like bowling!
