LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Do you have a strong passion for  science as well as knowledge about the scientific method? If so, we’d love to have you help with the annual Pulaski County Special School District Science Fair!

The event will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2020 at UA Little Rock in the fitness center. Students from across the district will present their science investigations to a panel of judges from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

If you are interested in volunteering as a judge, we welcome the extra help. Just click here to sign up and you’ll receive a confirmation email with details. Lunch is provided for all judges.

During the science fair, volunteer judges meet with students one on one or in small groups to discuss each science fair project. The science fair will take three to four hours, depending upon the number of projects and the number of judges. Judges will need to arrive 30 minutes early (8:30 a.m.) to go over rules and procedures and will be finished around 1:30 p.m.

Most importantly, science fair judges have a great desire to assist, guide, and encourage young people’s interest in science.

Qualifications: Familiarity with the scientific method, ability to commit to the full time frame of the fair and an ability to interact with students from 3rd - 12th grade.
