Leaders are nominated by peers in their school districts and then selected by a committee. Hundreds of nominations were submitted to this year’s Honor Roll for consideration in a range of categories including Excellence in Innovation, Impact Award, Technical Hero, Empowering Educator, Mentor of the Year, Champion of the Year.
Rachel has been recognized as Champion of the Year for her outstanding engagement and advocacy within the Champion Community and PCSSD. She has actively participated in events such as PowerUp sessions, Champion Council Meetings, and leading the Schoology user group, SUG-AR. Her involvement in webinars, collaborative conversations, and product roadmap series demonstrates her commitment to educational excellence and innovation, ensuring the success of PowerSchool solutions at PCSSD.
"PowerSchool has created the best networking community in the Champion Circle and the Champion Council," shares Rachel. "In the Champion Community, we share ideas about specific related products through webinars and forum pages. Since PCSSD uses several of the PowerSchool Products, such as eSchool Plus, eFinance, Talent Ed, Naviance, Schoology, and more, the community can connect you to experts in all products. The Ohio Schoology user group supported our newly developed Schoology User Group of Arkansas (SUG-AR) to create a state-wide virtual conference, Schoology Connect, which took place at the end of July. Over 200 Arkansas teachers who use Schoology could connect and collaborate before the school year began. I am so blessed to be a part of this growing Champion Community and honored to be the 2024 Champion of the Year."
