free meals

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. - Governor Asa Hutchinson and Education Secretary Johnny Key announced Wednesday the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) extended the USDA waiver allowing all school students to be served meals free of cost for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.

PCSSD began the free meal distribution on September 3 after the initial commissioner memo was issued on August 31, 2020. Students at every school in the district will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch from the school.

Though the meal waiver will continue through the end of the school year, is is important for families to still fill out the free and reduced lunch application. If you have not already, please fill out the Free and Reduced Lunch application.

Secretary Key also said the state could waive meal pattern requirements and it would allow parents to pick up meals for their students. This is something PCSSD already has set up for its students and families. If you have not already signed up for a day/time to do your meal pick up, please fill out this form.
