graduation announcement

UPDATED 7/8/20  --  Each high school will be working with its students to schedule a time to record a "walk-through" graduation to receive his/her diploma. Each walk-through will be recorded and edited to present a virtual graduation ceremony. Those virtual ceremonies will air on the district's YouTube channel later in the month of July.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. -- Superintendent Dr. Charles McNulty has an important message about graduation for the Class of 2020.

Due to the rising number of positive cases of COVID-19 and concerns over large-crowd gatherings, PCSSD has decided to cancel graduations for all four high schools on July 19, 2020. The decision comes after much deliberation with the high school principals as well as guidance from state health officials.

High school principals will be in touch with all graduating seniors about diploma pick up as well as other items related to graduation. Please note, the district is closed on Fridays during the summer and will be closed on Monday, July 6 to observe Independence Day.

We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this decision may cause. We send our congratulations and best wishes to the entire class of 2020 at Joe T. Robinson High School, Maumelle High School, Mills University Studies High School and Sylvan Hills High School. Good luck in your future endeavors!
